Was it a sedan? 4spd? Its just an ugly PRV far as I can tell.

760 sedan. I couldn't tell make or modal of it but what is the PRV you guys call it? this look more like some kinda of v8 twin headers and a tranny attached to it. don't remeber if it was stick or auto.

its just a PRV crap V6 motor. Most 760's with the exception of the 760T had that crap motor.

It looks like a diesel. Is it? Also looks like a Peugot motor that they put in the early 90's Eagle Premier which was also crap.

Here's a history lesson:

The V-6 used in 260 and 760 cars is commonly called the "PRV". PRV stands for Peugeot-Renault-Volvo. All three companies had a hand in designing this engine, and all 3 used variants of it.

The Eagle Premier was designed by Renault. Renault bought American Motors. Then Renault sold American Motors to the Chrysler Corporation.

Chrysler created a division called Eagle. Then it threw a handful of bastard-child imports under the Eagle badge. Mitsubishis (including the DSM cars) and hand-me-downs from Renault/AMC were badged as Eagles.

The Eagle Premier was also sold as the short-lived Dodge Monaco.

And now you know why the 260/760 engine looks a lot like the one in the Eagle (Renault) Premier.

Maybe just . . . uninspired. Hahaha!

wernt very durable, often wore out prematurely. Became noisy and rattley with relatively low milage. Power output want that impressive either.

Except some of the ones in Peugeots ... there are some really good ones of those apparently (good heads etc). It seems not all PRVs were created equal ...

At one point there was 5 or 6 700s at my local PnP at once. Nothing to get excited about.:e-shrug:
