The Cibie headlights they sold that had them? Try Dan Stern or anyone else that sells Cibie. Looks like ipd is selling Hellas now.
They look like any older Mercedes with ecode headlights looks. When the parking lights are on there is a small 5 watt bulb in the headlights that glows. You'll never see them with the headlights on. It is just enough light to make the headlight housing glow a little.
It is common courtesy in parts of europe (if not the law) to turn your headlights off in lighted areas (ie cities). Citylights add visibility to the front of the car, plus they look cool.
You'll only get to use them in parking lots legally, if then. But they look cool. I wired them up in my sister's benz, but do not have pictures. On those, the US cars have a running light in the turn signals, euro cars use the citylight as running light and the turn signal lights to flash.

ebay has some cheap knock offs for about $40 shipped. I plan on getting a pair (better than sealed beam). Just be sure you silcone the seams to prevent moisture intrusion.

Are those the stock city lights or did you rig them up yourself?

I put some cheap Summit Racing sealed beam replacements in my older 740 - the high beams came with 'projector-style' lenses and a little blue city light. The small blue bulb basically snugs into a small hole in the lower half of the reflector. I wired them up just for the hell of it, and what do you know - they look pretty nice! They're wired to add a soft blue glow to the high beams when the low beams are on. I don't see any reason you couldn't do a similar thing with your 90+ 9004's.

That's some pictures, too tired too look right now..
ALL these are home-made, as one of the above pics show.

we call them side lights. there turned on at dawn and dusk instead of going for full headlights which glare badly at those times. usually the "city light as you call it" can be turned on with the ignition off as well the E30's are like this.

but when you go to ignition on the car also provides low voltage power to the main bulb and looks like this

also volvo's do this also.

Here in the UK, it's just to give you dim lighting for if the car is parked on-road. They're pretty useless for anything else. My 360, for example, gives you exactly the same arrangement as Mike's E30 (albeit with less projector :-().
cheers
