Would putting 850 Tail lights in say a 7/900 series car be street legal?

I have seen guys that drive Chevy S-10's with Corvette Tails, wonder if this would work out as well...

I don't see why it wouldn't be street legal as long as you have red brake lights, white reverse lights and amber turn signals. (Not sure what the laws there are about lighting, but it would be fine in CA.)

The turn signals don't have to be amber in CA.

The amber reflector also has to be of a certain size, but if you're using an OEM tailight, that shouldn't be a problem. (As long as the reflectors aren't mounted elsewere on the car, which isn't the case on the 850)

Awesome, I mean if it is legal in CA, it should be legal anywhere right?

OEM lights. Nuff said. They might not live up to their original intent, but i doubt a police officer would notice more box on box action on a volvo. Boxy light, boxy car, have at it

you should have looked at my 740 when you picked up that motor.
I have the newer 740's on my 89. Still wants pics of those R seats in my 740?
How in the world are you fitting 850 tails on a 740? They are totally different.

Ps may have more parts from that motor if you need.

Yea its legal, as long as they work and are red. Besides, I doubt a cop would know the difference if you do it right.

My question is how much metal cutting/bodywork would be necassary to make it look like something?
