No spacers....should be good to go :)
If I want to punch them out, i have spacers waiting. They aren't on the car yet though. Need tires. Friend is storing them for me.

I'd say amar meant that they're mounted with ~200mm spaces right there  Very nice wheels, love that look on 745's.

Dude. You should seriously space them out like 100 mm or so. I always thought that would look gangsta.

Haha, almost any wheels are "almost as old as me" when it comes to an '87 740... I was two when my car was built, lol.

EDIT: Looks like your rear wheel is bent ~1 oclock
Nice wagon...reminds me of the one I should have kept. I did keep the wheels. I heard ARE was sued by BBS for copying them....can anyone confirm?

BBS have nicer center caps quality wise, but other than that, I like the looks of the ARE's better. They usually have a deeper dish than the same size BBS.

For the sum i paid, i am very happy. :)
All of my AREs have had a nice lip, but not like these. My AREs were all 7 or 7.5" wide, while these are 8" with a healthy lip.

Also will update the vehicle thread. For a while it has been neglected due to other priorities but it will be up and running within the next few weeks....with a host of new parts :)

love em!
I had a line on some epsilon 16X8 but the seller seemed shady so I backed out of it...
I am still looking for some wide 3pc. 80's wheels for my wagon...would like 17's but those are sick.
BoxDriver2

Problem is, in the 80s 17s were a huge deal. I had my Borbet Type A which were rare early 90s iirc [and have been passed around to a few members now, wonder who has them...]. So I figured I'd settle for these :)
Not much was around for a 17" then....

 Yeah, I...uh... knew that...
Maybe you should slap some duallies on your Volvo, chicks will be all over you :oogle:

Dualies are nice, if you have a use for one [a truck, not volvo], especially a diesel.

I hate you with your nice wheel-ness. lol

BMW used BBS's as standard fitment for quite a while; unsure if that model of 740iL had BBS's, but even if not, BMW followed the style they'd started earlier.
Another example of the same thing; Ford did the same with EB & ED Faimont Ghias. The EB had factory-fitted 15" BBS rims, and the ED had a no-brand-name rim that had been designed to look like an evolution of the one they had on the EB (it was probably made by CSA or some-such - and probably cost Ford a fair bit less per wheel than the BBS's :)).

BMW has used a plethora of BBS wheel styles over the years. They did use RS wheels as well. Basket weave is common place at BMW and VW.
