your car have a problem with catching on fire?

nope, BUT i have seen it happen many times with other cars, and this is the last car i would want to burn up so i got everything i need to be ready... i had a '86 merc grand marquis that caught fire at the fuel rail while on the highway, i pulled over and grabbed the extinguisher from the trunk and put it out, even though it did some damage, i was able to fix it in a few hours and i still had my car...

dont want this to happen...

We had a 2000 expedition, I always thought the keypads were kind of tacky and stupid. But hey, to each his own.

I think it's cool... above the hand would be good but I'd be concerned about the lack of space. I was going to get keyless entry for my car but soon realized that the LF door doesn't actually pop up on its own, and I didn't have the paitience to wire in a solenoid for it.

Also, be careful with that cold air setup you have, not having a splash shield of some sort isn't good if you drive in any sort of rain.... It'll suck the water in without any question! But if you don't drive in the rain then who cares!

Use this instead, its way cooler..then! you can press the help key and have the fire extinguishers go off! it will be wayyy cool.

that thing is so damn big though... 2x8 is like the size of a king size hershey bar, i want the car to have a keypad but i dont want it to look like a safe, plus it doesnt have any backlight that goes on and off when you open the door or use the remote... its nice to be able to see what number you are pressing in the dark

+1

I was thinking that or putting in the trim so you couldn't really see it.

don't
it's cheezy and stupid. Are you ever going to use it? It's for the dumbasses who lock keys in their car.

yeah i would use it all the time... the only reason i got the idea is because of how often i use it on my crown vic, its not just for people who lock their keys in the car, its also for people who want to leave the keys in the car with it locked or when you run out to the car to get something out and you forget the key you dont have to run all the way back to grab it... i dont know i guess it is a matter of preference... i really like the feature and it would be unique to have, and thats why i sport a volvo, because its unique
