Alright, so I'll explain what happened.

I was on my way over to Noah's [Noah244ti's] house yesterday to give him a hand with doing an at-home alignment of his 242ti after he did a whole bunch of suspension mods [I might throw in that his 242 is absolutely bitchin]. I came around a corner, hit a dip, and a spring [they are cut a few coils] came unseated I believe because the car was hooking to the left very bad. Was'nt sure which side, so I kinda poked myself out the window to see if the left front looked like it was riding at a different height [ended up being the right front]. So I slide back into my seat and all of a sudden I hear a loud "ping" than all of a sudden my ass is laying down in the backseat of the car.

Upon further investigation, this is what happened.

This is how the seat back is normally held to the seat bottom [shown on passenger side seat]

This is how both sides of the drivers side seat now look

I was able to drive home by getting the bracket into those nubs on the seat bottom.

I'm going to see if I can bend the nubs back into place, get new retaining hardware and throw these back on Craigslist where I found them.

But WTF. I'm not that big of a person [210 lbs]. Way to go Sparco. At least their fixed backs are pretty good.

Have you ever tried fixed-backs? I'll never go back, ever. The gymnastics take some getting used to, but seriously... :zeeall:

Maybe, you'll have to sign a waiver though..........

Yep, I've had Sparco Pro2000's in my 244 for a while now. I used them daily for a bit in the Flathood as well.

I came across the Torino's [the reclinables] on Craigslist very cheap. Figured they'd be more suitable for a daily driver, and while the pro2k's were a little less comfortable, I think I can put up with less comfort in the name of safety. I'm going to start looking for an Evo2 or EvoL, and swap the passenger side to stock.

That sucks to see that Patrick. I also have a set I wanted to put in my 242ti. As a member of the plumbers buttcrack fatass union I'm not so sure I should put them in now.
Damn, they are comfy.

damn that sucks, at least now you will fit in with the honda crew, apparently driving from the back seat with your arm extended like your holding on for dear life(from all that power they put down) is the cool thing to do these days
