That is a clean looking 242. I like the ride height on the steelies. Excellent blank canvas for whatever you want to do :)
OVT stickers with a Washington plate? :-P

yeah, but the handling is crap because of my poor choice in tires. i first started this wanting it to be rat-rod-ish, hence the steelies and fatty 225's on 6.5inch wide wheels :)
now im going for more of just a cruizer, so we'll see what happens.

My other 242 has almost the same suspension setup as my flathood turbo, but it handled a lot worse. So yeah, wheels and tires make a huge difference.
Trust me, before you do too much work, you will change your goals for the car at least 5-6 more times ;-) I've been there... Thats why I have two... :-P

Nice good looking car.
I think you oughts get 15x7 steelies (keep the chrome center cap) and keep it looking awesome.
What style front do you plan with a flat hood?
Single rounds would look nice

as for right now, im planning on 16" steelies keeping the centercap and chrome beauty ring. cheapass wheels for the muthafukin win!! :) and it would look awesome, imo.
as for the grill setup, i already have everything but the hood. even a set of 7" rounds from brazil that have 3 separate light housings in each light. top being a marker light (amber), middle being the head light, and the bottom being a foglight.
here are pics of my parts to give you a visual.

I think your Brazil headlight was meant for the old [vintage continuation] VW beetle that was made until 2004.

dont know if you are going to want to go through what i have to get them in. i have the mounting buckets reworked and ready, these aren't bolt in's because of the back of the light housing.
if you can mod the stock headlight buckets and really want to know where i got these, pm me.

i know, it took me a while to find a good deck.
it's the Kenwood EZ500. if you ever get one, DO NOT run the deck power for the speakers, if you want good sound.
i use the preouts and have all my speakers run off of a infiniti 7541a amp, 4 channel, 138watts at 2ohms.

No worries...

Glad to see that it runs MP3 and WMA.
Although I just saw some no-name brand radio at WalMart that does all that and has a CF card slot, USB port and headphone type input jack all on the face. It was only 80 bucks... Why does it have to be a no-name? :wtf:

Fixed. And never skimp on tires! If you have a choice, that is.
