Update per Isaac's car condition: There's still a rattle in the bottom end somewhere, unless the trans is a very good ventriloquist. I'll have a look later this evening and really get under there and listen to what the hell's going on. It's also leaking oil like a seive now from the mid-rear of the engine. It totally drenches the pan. Leaks like a 1 tablespoon per minute.

If I'm pulling the engine/tranny and replacing both, this will go down in Tavares (lake county). If just the trans, it will likely be my house (UCF). I'll let yall know when I get back from work tonight.

oh yea i am going to need the address of where your 245 is at so i can do a yahoo map printed out. also if you need a parts 240 with a extremely low milage m46(might hold up??? :x: :???: ) i can get you one. or two if thats the plan.

Ok I just got done having a looksie at things. Here's how it stands.:

The engine and tranny are coming out tomorrow. If I can't get the correct shims from Home Depot or Lowe's, I'm getting the flywheel machined back down. This will take about an hour. I also need to procure some proper bolts for the pressure plate since it appears as if I left many at Kenny's.

I also have to get a new headgasket tomorrow, otherwise I'll be experimenting in backyard mechanic no-no's yet again. I believe that Central Auto parts sells them. Lets hope so eh?

This will take place at a place on OLD 441 in Tavares, FL, 1/2 mile west of where it intersects with US 19. I plan on getting there at 10 something, depending on when stores open so I can get my parts. If anybody wants to come by and see how an entire engine and trans swap/F+T job works, let us know quick. Okee?
