The much-anticipated "grass-roots" Pacific Northwest Volvo event of the summer!

OVT proudly announces the Fourth Annual Volvos on the Green!

Yes it's our FOURTH year!

The turnout for this event has been steadily growing. We're hoping you'll be able to make it out again this year. For those of you who have never been, it's quite the Volvo spectacle.

Where: Marc Williams' house in SW Portland
When: Saturday, August 25, 2007
Time: Noon to 5pm
Address: 4069 SW Canby St., Portland OR 97219
Food & Beverage: BYOF (the BBQ will be fired up and ready), BYOB (Mr. Williams and the OVT officers encourage responsible consumption of all beverages, alcoholic or not).

Polish up that brick, and bring your favorite frisbee and lawn chair. For best parking, it's a good idea to get there early. As always, overflow parking is available next door in the park next to Marc's house.

Just to liven things up, this year we're going to have a "Best in Show" and "Worst in Show". And if I don't come up with a prize of some sort, maybe I'll hand out certificates good for a free t-shirt or something. Maybe I can hit up IPD for some free swag...

For those of you wondering, sorry, no t-shirts were designed or printed in time. I plan to have a special 5th Anniversary VOTG t-shirt design by next year (promise!), though the print run will likely be limited in nature (don't bother me with orders just yet... I'll send out a notice well in advance of our 2008 VOTG event).

Hope to see you all there!

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

It's actually my sister's wedding reception this day from 2-5... And after Canada, the car is in no shape to look pretty(neads some lighting stuff for the left front and an intense cleaning...) anyway. I'll stop by on the motorcycle for a bit in the beginning though, probably 12-2:30/3 or so.

I work at three but since I only live 5 min away. I'll stop by from noon-two or something. I'm excited

My wagon is interesting but very UGLY. the GT is well... apart and many miles away. I do however, have a turbo car that is pretty quick with some volvo parts on it! :)

I'll be there for a couple of hours. I am hoping to have most of the interior changed over to the black/charcoal. I'll also be sporting the DTM's  , instead of the black dracos

The 4th Annual Volvos on the Green has been cancelled due to family health reasons. We'll definitely hold one in 2008, according to Marc Williams. But I'm not sure if we should call that one the 4th annual, or the 5th annual. I'd prefer to use 5th with the one in '08 so I can make really cool t-shirts.

Sorry to all those who had planned to be there. It sort of sounded like it was a conflict with a lot of people's schedule anyway.

Ooooh... Well then, I think we need to do something else then anyway. BBQ for lunch or something, because I can come out for a couple hours during the middle of the day, but not later. Some of us were planning on swapping parts/money at the time as well.

^ Kyle... why don't you look into a dyno day? Find somewhere that'll extend us a discount for multiple cars. They should give us A/F numbers, and three pulls at the very least.

Bummer about the this annual event. Hope things will turn around for the better..

About the dyno, I would love to dyno the starion! I am curious about how much power I am playing with.

I'd love to dyno, but I can't right now. At least not for a month, and probably not for two. My car needs a new downpipe, and some time to learn everything over again before it's ready to be strapped down. But man, I can't wait until that time... The main reason I can't though, is I need funds.

Early NA, and I already have one on the way. Thanks though. It'll need to be ported and chopped and a 2.5" pipe welded on anyway, so it's not a direct swap.
