There really are quite a few good aftermarket wheels availible, it just takes a while to find them.

you can also use factory volvo wheels... 17" canistos from the c70 (there's actually a host of 17" factory volvo wheels), this is what mine looks like:

yeah you NEED them in the front to fit, the wheels will fit in the back but it will look stupid unless you have spacers all around

so where does one get such a spacer

you have a few options... there are some guys on here that make a full set custom for hub centered application that range from $300+, you could try and find a set used, or be a cheap ass like me and buy them online non hub centric at the wheel itself at $150 for 4 spacers... though not hub centric i beat the **** out of my car and the wheels are perfectly strait with the acorn lug nuts centering the wheel up just fine... no vibrations or anything so far... i can't afford $300+ for spacers so i had to cheap out with the $150 units... im pleased as can be with them... but that is just me

25mm in the front, 25mm in the back is what you need but i used 30mm in the back and 25mm in the front to give it a slightly staggared look, i think it is better that way

if using FWD volvo rims, you'll generally want 25mm in front, and 32mm in the back, to make it look even
*edit...damn! beaten by the guy who should be working!

+1 on these, was gonna suggest this for the easiest to find, less worry wheel.
Tirerack has some decent looking 5x108 fwd wheels, but damn are you gonna pay when combined with spacers and tires (probably like $2000 total)

eikers are NOT 8" wide, theyre 7.5", ungodly heavy, and soft (ie they bend)

true on all points, but any 'bigger' aftermarket wheel upgrade is generally going to be heavier ... unless you have the budget for forged racing wheels like VST.
i don't race or hit potholes at 40+ mph so weight and softness are of no concern to me, i just they look real nice on my 740 :)

These rims came up as a great response in another thread, so I decided to bring it up here. Anyone know what these are, the dimensions, and what is required to install it?

for a dd volvo i think works are a bit much.
i really like the 16" multi-x from the 780... not too much wheel, not too little.

I think the Polaris is what fits the 700 best in 17" I've heard they really hard to find in US, but then get the Eiker from IPD ;)
