View Full Version : How too put a BOV?

I own a 82 turbo volvo intercooled and was wondering how to put it on and where?
And I own 1996 T5 R 850 and was wondering the same thing?

On the 242, weld a flange on the cold side intercooler pipe and install it there near the throttle body.

correct me if i'm wrong i believe you need a block off plate for the CBV. the bov won't work properly with the CBV not blocked off.

240t's dont have CBV's.

plug the vacuum line from the BOV to the intake manifold. when the throttle body slams closed, the intake manifold goes into vacuum and pulls the BOV open while the pressure in the piping pushes out on it, and that's all there is to it.

i have a 82 242 turbo no intercooler but i deff want to get a intercooler, then put a BOV on it cause their sick..does anyone know if you have to do any modifying to the engine compartment to put a intercooler in or is their a spot for it from stock?
