Who has done quads on an 86+? I want pics/tips...

You pretty much can only do it (without modification to the headlight mounts) by swapping over the front end from and 85- car.

I did single rounds with a flat hood.. but I didn't do the fenders and it looked like siht.. I think there may be pictures of it in my project thread..

hood, fenders, turn signals, headlights, grille, and lower panel below the lights to do it right, and the hood won't match the cowl...but it will fit and it will open if adjusted up on the hinges just slightly.

Hey Towery I had a 86+ hood on a 85- for a little bit and I had the corners mounted flush with the cowl. It opened just fine..

It works, but if you look at the center raised section of the hood, you'll see that it sticks up above the cowl.

Good, we needed pics to see how ugly it is.

I did say that interchanging hoods DOES work. But '86+ on -'85 is not hard, since the hood sits above the cowl. Early hood on a 86+ will catch on the cowl panel in the center if it's not properly adjusted.
