We're getting together on Friday, the 20th, and meeting at Bellis Fair at 2:30.
We're then going to take a cruise down Chuckanut Drive, (a nicely twisty road), take some photos at one of the many scenic overlooks, and then head back to Jordan (jcrump84)'s place for burgers.

I'm down! I'm gonna need to know a week or two ahead of time, but almost anytime of the week works for me. I'll probably get my brother to come too, he's got a basically stock '83 242t. Just got some maintenance stuff in there and an auto-manual swap. Plus an A cam waiting to go in.

Man, my engine is so dirty right now though! I haven't cleaned much of it since I painted it all up, especially the intercooler, gettin hard to see the VOLVO. Gotta spray that stuff down!

I can't make it those days, but friday the 20 would probably work. Or any weekend after that I'm clear.

Sweet! The 20th works for me too. If I can get off work that day, I can make it as early as 3... I'll borrow my girlfriend's digital camera to immortalize it. I can throw down some cash on a costco run for burgers too, if somebody else can provide the card.

Right now, my ex gf and I are down for the drive down. I'll be bringing an 89 740Ti down, a car I have forsale right now... my 91 is still snowed in up north.

But yes, I'm definatly up for this... Should be fun.

I'll see if I can get a few more Vancouver guys up for this too... Maybe we caravan down...

But along those lines, I've got new bushings & wheel bearings on their way to me right now from Groton, and I have no place to install them, or jackstands... I ordered them up and forgot my stands are back at my parents' house. Anybody want to lend a hand?

well i have an idea. Down at the industrial area where they have the bham auto x we could do it there if we could get in. I will get some info and try and see if we could do it there. Otherwise i like the idea about somewhere with mt baker in the background.

So i am thinking that we will meet up somwhere easy to find in the early afternoon like 1 or 2?? then we could cruse to our place and cook up some burgers. then after that we could take some pics (now the order is totally tenitive i am just throwing out ideas) go and drive chuckanut and then whatevers clever.

For the picture spot, I think one of the overlooks off the side of Chuckanut would be good. There is a nice big one that we could get everyone's cars in for sure... Everything sounds sweet so far!

I won't be leaving kamloops until the morning of the 20th. Its 4-5 hours to Vancouver, then another how many hours to Belingham. So I probably won't beable to be there until..... say 2.

I'm also going to need a place to meet up with you guys. I get confused with all the concrete down there :e-shrug:

Maybe I could meet up with John and we can pool down. I hope there is no snow, then I can put on the aluminum wheels instead of the steelie's on there now..

Hey, it's trying to snow tonight :rant: , but I hope it won't stick. I wouldn't worry much about it snowing here, but rather what it'll be like on the Coke highway (however the hell ya spell it, I just know how to say it!). I'm still not sure where I'll be right before the meet, whether it's in vancouver or in Lynden, I'll let ya know. I've got some radios if we want to train down from Vancouver.

We should probably meet somewhere easy to find, maybe just off of I-5. Although, seems like everyone is from bellingham except for Jordan (I know my way around). Well, all the plans sound great so far! My brother Erik is really excited to film it for his Video Communications class, and of course for T-bricks. Anyone else bringing their girlfriends? I probably will, and it seems like GTJordan might too.... any others? Ben?

She accepts my car habit, but doesn't enjoy it.

It's getting more and more exciting, and I'm starting to realize that I will have the biggest hooptie there... No heater, crappy seats, shot bushings, etc... Does anybody here in B-Ham have a suggestion as to where I could give her a quick wash? I'd rather not do it by hand, as I don't have any wash equipment, and it's.. cold.. as.. hell..

There is always the Sunset Car wash..... but I don't know how much that will cost. Don't worry about having the biggest hooptie up in B-ham... my 142E just blew up, so If I can get it running I'll be showing up in my orange 77 wagon... oh ya...

by the way.... Bellingham is really only 1 hr south of Vancouver, but travel time really depends on the border. As long as you get through it early enough of friday there shouldn't be a problem. Looking forward to chill'n with you guys.

It is cool if you wanna come here a little early and wash up your ride. I am slowly detailing mine but will prob wash it that day bc it will get dirty in one day if i wash it any sooner. Oh and about the heater. we should be able to wire one up for cheap, i just did mine do a direct switch and it seems to be working great :badboy:

My 142 is pretty messed up. Like Ben said, there is coolant everywhere... my head and head gasket are in tiptop shape, so my best guess is an internal crack somewhere. I forgot to tell Ben this, but right before I pulled it out, I tried to turn it over... and it wouldn't budge... :-( I was really looking forward to showing off my 142 on the 20th......but... **** happens. My M41 tranny is also having problems.... I guess its all the AutoX and burnouts :lol: Does anybody know of any cheap M41 around here?

With my B20E toast and out of the car.... I guess it’s just a sign that I need to just bite the bullet and do my B21ft conversion. I can't wait to meet all you guys, this will be really fun.

Ha! I got the dates confused... looks like my gf isn't working that day, so we'll be right on time! I'll probably wash my car earlier that day too, especially if it's a nice day. My car really needs it, hasn't been washed since early fall sometime :roll: . Hopefully at least my exhaust will be on by then, probably the bigger turbo too, but maybe not my MegaSquirt 'n Spark... We'll see.

WOW, you have been really busy john, My 3'' exhaust is only dreams right now, althou i have most of the parts to do it. Great i am looking forward to this too.

A few months ago I met up with a few of the Seattle 850 guys, they were up in Vancouver. It was cool cause they brought a bunch of Krispy Kreme doughnuts! I bought a box.

Wow what a great turnout!! This spring we'll definatly have to have a track day at mission!! I can't wait to get up there.

Well damn Jordan, that sucks. Yeah, there might or might not be *another* car on the dead list, I'm getting some really strange symptoms from my brick. At about 4500-5000rpms, I have a sudden loss of power, and I can hear popping from the exhaust. :freak: I have no idea what it is either... Maybe weak valve springs? Maybe ignition?
Who knows... I still have fine power below 4k though, so the car still drives, but for how long... :e-shrug:
Jordan, I'm out of town for the weekend, but when I get back, I'll drop you a line.

So here is the plan for my brick. I am getting a big block 350 chevy pickup to drive for a while, and then i am gonna build up my car with a strong block and hopefully my re-built 405 :e-shrug: It is gonna take a bit of time but that is the way these things work.

oh no i meant that i could drive there in the car so you peeps could see it but my mom has to take it back but i can stay at the meet i just need a ride to crumps place. are cars on it's lat legs tho. the wiring going fast the p/w are in a dead heat with a snail. the lights on the dash just blink and flash. we don't know about the motor, the kid we bought it from looked like he never changed the oil........ever. im not goin to mention the interior(the looks or the smell).

I really really do hate my professors. They picked this week, of all weeks, to throw down enough work to choke a horse. Perspective drawings, CAD work, Math work, Programming assignments, you name it. Plus a quiz on friday. They left me no time to work on my car for the meet. What bastages. I might make it in the 142 but its crusty ugly slow and I don't know when my dad's getting home from work tomorrow and thats the only running car. Well, I managed to finish all my work today, pass my tests, and respray my calipers (what can I say, I'm a ricer at heart :-P ). Gave the 'ol girl a quickie wash too, although she still looks like ****. (6 months without a wash will do that to you...)

Way to fidex that ****, Aspirator. Fine. Bring your girlfriend. See if I care.

Just got back... Almost ran out of gas lol. Thanks Ben for the 4$ and Everyone who brought food it was fun! On the way home a flashed on a honda accord sedan that was lowered with rims and blue headlights... I killed him from 60-100mph had about 3 car lengths on him. This was close to home cause I didn't wanna race someone and waste too much gas and not make it home. Stupid volvo swallowing gas. Blah. We ordered the Alt for the 144 so next meet I will take that or the 1800. Id like to see the pics... :-)

Just walked in the door... I left Jordan and Bens place at 930 this morn, and its 930 now. We left and went down to Olympia, then over to the ocean... forgot what the town is called. Then we came home.

Good times were definatly had by all.. I've got 70 some pictures to get up, if I can get them up. I had video too, but Jordan deleted them from my camera :x:

We met at the flag poles at bellis fare. Couldn't have missed them. We were there until about 315, trying to get a car started...

Oh I forgot to mention, I finally saw Pat's old Orange car!!! I was cruising north on I5 just south of seattle, on my way back up from Olympia (shelton?) and I see the australian front end and I was like DAYUM, then I realized, its orange, its got a white stripe, itsgot a set of 17's.... ****....

Wish I saw that one up close.

It was an awsome time, we need to do it again, but this time every one comes north and I'll take you down a real road ;)
