I brought some of FCP lowering springs awhile ago and I was expecting to get progressive rate springs (Cold Coil=B&G right?) well mine where black and non progressive rate. But it looks like the ones on ebay are.

What gives? Who else has ordered lowering springs from FCP and what did you get?

I think the ones you ordered, where like the "glt springs" (15mm lowering, not 35/45mm)

They may have shipped the wrong ones. Email or call and ask. There have been times in the past where I ordered something for a B23 and got the B230 part. It happens.

I ordered 240 sedan springs from FCP. I got black springs in a box that clearly said "Lesjöfors". In the box was included a paper saying that the springs were changed from red to black, but were still the same springs. The springs were linear, but compared side to side with the stock springs they were noticeably thicker. When I took the stock springs out the Lesjöfors were way shorter than stock ones. I beleive the box said lowering or sport on it, but I'm not sure.

Only pic I got.

Simply awesome. I had IPD sways installed already when I got those. Then after I installed the springs and shocks I finally felt I had a really good suspension set up. Took me a while to gain the courage to take a corner at speeds capable of chirping the tires. Handling seems completely neutral. It's oversteers if i apply a lot of power in the corners. But I find it easy to feel when I'm approaching the limit of traction. Prior to the installation there would be no warning, then the tires would start squealing. I've followed a couple BMW drivers down twisty roads as they gradually increase speed but can't get away. lol.

Feel at the limit is everything. I don't mind throttle oversteer as long as I can sense the start of the slide.

lowering and 3" exhaust gives you maybe 15cm clearance by the transmission (exhaust) and even less, if you use JT DP.

+1 here in Moscow, black and linear for my 745, oh and bilstein sport all around - handling now is amazing
