all from diyautotune.com except the gm air temp)

megasquirtII kit with black case and pcb 3.0 (pn:ms230-k_l)
megasquirt stimulator v2.2 (pn:msstim22-k)
a 10" adapter not hooked to anything (never used)
gm intake air temp sensor (never installed)
megasquirt tuning cable (db9 straight through: pn:tunecable6)
the megasquirt hotwheels sticker (red pn:d-mw-rou)

i also have a power source for the stimulator as they don't come with one when you buy them

Is MSII with pcb 3.0 a good setup for squirt and spark? I'd like to eventually run COP and EBC. I already have a WBO2 setup (Zeitronix)

The above will cost $250 (actually I'm going to trade an older P4 laptop for it)

Do I need anything else for Spark?

the VB921's suck....

a pair of 960 power stages with associated wiring would be the most reliable option

MS2 is interesting, it has FAR less pins to work with when doing extra stuff though
I would honestly go with MS1 on a V2.2 board with the *error daughter card

gives you everything including running COP on the 4 banger

now if you do wasted spark (not a dam reason not to) then your not so bad off with the extra programable LED port...

still i like MS1 more for balls to the wall stuff

MS2 is just nicer only because of the bigger tables and every tooth wheel decoder

i already have the setup, so no going back for me.

Just needing to find out if there is anything i need to pick up while @ PnP tomorrow.

No 960s down there :(

if your willing to run wasted spark
you can just use 2 lh2.4 powerstages

you will need to get the dwell settings in MS just right though

ok, so i'm getting ready to make the leap, but i'm already confused.

I got my MS from a guy who built it for his 6cyl e30. I'm not sure exactly how it is setup, but it is definitely different than the setups I've seen here such as with 4 x VB921

Along the top of the board on the heat sink, in the 10 spots it has (from left to right):
LM2937ET TIP125 TIP42C FQPF/30N06 OR053/D2912E TIP125 FQPF/30N06 OR053/D2912E VB921

I've sent him an email asking how it is configured, but just incase I don't get a reply, can anyone point me in the right direction?

looks like he has it setup for plain jane distro output...
(1 spark out)

can you take a pic of the inside of the case just to be sure?

My camera is broken, so no piccy.

It is setup for regular old distributor output.

What is the best way to go forward? Should I just use the single VB921 and be ok?

I hope to get my PnP harness built this week and get MS running this weekend.
