Volvo Track Day
Thunderhill Raceway
Monday May 3, 2004.
Golden Gate Chapter of Volvo Club of America will host a track day at Thunderhill Raceway on Monday May 3, 2004. This is in conjunction with our Davis Volvo Car Show and swap meet on Sunday May 2.
You can check out the track at www.thunderhill.com We are limiting the number of cars to 50 to ensure everyone has sufficient track time and maintain non crowded conditions.
You will get at least four 20 minute on track sessions. Your car does not need to be modified or race prepared. You need the regular highway safety equipment, and your car will need to pass a simple tech inspection. You will also need a helmet. We will divide up groups according to car potential and driver experience so that you can be in a group that is comfortable for your skill level. Instructors will be available.
We have been doing this for four years and have had a fun, safe, sane experience. There is no racing. This is an opportunity to drive your car fast in safe, controlled conditions.
Price will be $160 for VCOA members, $190 for non members. Prices are per driver. Includes lunch.
We will hold registration open for a month for Volvo drivers exclusively. If you wish to be sure of a spot you will need to get the money in by March 1. After March 1, we will sell the remaining spaces to friends and others with other makes of cars who wish to join in. If you are interested please contact me at Lee@vcoa.org or call me at 415-455-9192 so that I can give you the details answer questions and hold a spot for you.
