Just taking some pics for a school project and playing with HDR.
Have been using DaButcher's, Colli's and my car for the shoot. Atm it's my first shoot, and hopefully not the last. I also have some other pics that I'm working on, but I can't seem to get everything right yet. Hehe.

Awesome effects! Keep playing around with it, but it looks like you got the right idea. The composition is great. I think that last one is poster worthy

I need to get a damn camera... :-(

I have silver painted steelies on the bmw for winter tires. I've had so many people ask me where I got them and 2 offer to buy them. Its weird.

Why is the first photo so blue?

You sort of missed the point of HDR with the third one since the foreground is still way underexposed. How did you bracket your shots? The lines created by the clouds and mountains are interesting, but the framing is off. If the sky is the interesting part, why does the dirt parking lot occupy the bottom third of the photo? I would try getting a bit closer to the cars and shifting your view up and to the right.

effects look wonderful on the last pic but too distorted towards the left front and center. It would probably would of been a money shot if it weren't from that. Keep trying........ maybe more PS skills on the same pic.

Yeah, well this was my first time trying to fo HDR. So yeah, I didn't always work out. =P And about the third photo, I didn't really get a lot of chances to take photos at that spot, because the camp owner kicked us out.. :P Anywho, I'm gonna keep trying.

I used a Canon EOS 20D and a tripod for these shots. I borrowed the cam from school, tho.

High res of DaButchers car? Hmmm. Ok then :P

What's HDR?

340GL
01-23-2008, 03:44 PM
What's HDR?

High Dynamic Range

it's a way of combining different exposures of the same scene together to get the same exposure across the whole frame (at least that's how i understand it)

Meh, either way it's good work for your first time out shooting HDR. Beautiful pictures, though you do need one or two more exposures to get the full dreamlike quality.

Well done anyway, and keep at it! :-D

Hehe...well I figured there couldn't really be two of you, but I thought I should check before I gave you a

Sweden was a blast. I think we might be taking a break this year, but I'm sure we'll be back. I may well be travelling to Kolbotn, near Oslo, on business in the next few months...it's a shame it's so far for you guys, but maybe I could turn it into a holiday?
