Is that right? Spacer + O-ring at top and 2 O-rings at the bottom?

Is the Pintle cap required?

Pintle cap is not required. Thats how they are setup in my 242, no leaks...Vacuum or fuel.

There's two styles one has a larger than standard shaft on the lower part and goes in with two o-rings and no pintle cover. The other is setup just like vovo'z and uses one o-ring and the pintle cap.

hows your ecu likeing them?

Just fine. After running about 5 minuts it hiccuped a bit with a weird idle, turned off car for about 20 minutes and it didnt want to start. Had to give it throttle to keep it running for about a min.

Once it started to idle again it has been fine.

Ok, I think I need to get a 2.5 bar FPR.

Stumbling under full throttle.

did you do that amm trick

if he has 2.4 he shouldnt need to do any tricks lh will self adjust

Booster

why didnt you use the pintle cap? wouldnt that help it seal even better?

Because I couldn't get the pintle off the other injectors w/out breaking them.

It does fine at idle and part throttle, but it really doesn't like full throttle.

I guess I need to hurry up with my MS install.

volvo sells the pintle caps & an injector o-ring kit for $5 each.

did you car like full throttle before the install of these new injectors?

m4ff3w
01-27-2008, 05:45 PM
Yes, it was fine @ full throttle before. I think it is just going WAY rich.

If my understanding is correct LH goes blind @ WOT and goes by map only. Which would explain why it is so rich, LH can't really adjust @ WOT.

Booster
01-27-2008, 05:52 PM
not to sure about that. but i would look at the injectors being faulty

lostartof has ran i believe 65 lb/hr injectors with no problems at all on stock lh.

you will need to get your car running correct first before you go to megasquirt

yeah your cars isnt liking the 46 lb injectors because of the excessive fuel at WOT.... Once you get a BIG turbo, lots of boost, and other supporting mods(3" AMM) the injectors will compensate better. Put the FPR 2.5 in and they will run at like 36-37 lbs, like Browntops. Thats what im doing...

plus once you go MS you can control the injectors a lot better

Anything else I can do for cheap to lean it out @ WOT?

HonestJhon
01-27-2008, 11:43 PM
let it learn for a few days?

barry240
01-28-2008, 12:05 AM
it might take a while for the ecu to learn when i reset my ecu with 36lbers it runs pig rich at about 5000rms.do you have a chip

m4ff3w
01-28-2008, 10:18 AM
No chip. MS is assembled just needs to be installed.

m4ff3w
01-28-2008, 12:13 PM
I coulda swore I read that at WOT LH2.4 disregards O2 readings and won't lean it out. Am I wrong (I hope so)

the OP is NA...did you do this with an NA or your +T Barry??

+T does not count here...

why the change in injectors? did you do something to need them?
WB02 gauge running lean?? or just for sh!t's-n-giggles??

I'm not NA, I'm running a 16t.

I put the the new injectors so I could turn up the boost. I have MS but it will be a few more weeks before I have a chance to get it wired in same for my WB02 (waiting until I get larger downpipe to weld bung into)

my bad...I got your thread confused with another one

good question on the WOT and what the ECU does or doesn't do...I'd like to see that get answered..

I found a 2.5 bar FPR in the garage. Time to go install it.

FTW!

where did you get your 0-rings?

m4ff3w
01-28-2008, 11:45 PM
Crap, it wasn't the right FPR. It was for a screw on fitting (B21?)

I used o-rings that I bought orginally for the browntops (that ended up being unuseable)

m4ff3w

**** it. I'm to rich at WOT so I'll throw more air at it.

Bigger turbo is going in, 16t is coming out.

what did you use as the spacer on top of the cfi?

m4ff3w

what did you use as the spacer on top of the cfi?

That is the spacer from just above the pintle cap of a stock injector.

wtf? The car doesn't seem to bog at WOT anymore.

I'm confused as hell.

you mean LH finally got around to learning things and is running good?

m4ff3w
01-31-2008, 12:10 AM
Yea, but I thought it didn't LH did anything at WOT.
