All the late rain became snow at higher elevations, so a buddy and I took a drive through some canyons and ended up in snowball-fighting territory. Just thought I'd share a picture of the car:

Absolutely gorgeous :-D

I hope you don't mind, but I messed with a copy of the photo. Rarely do I think the car-in-color but background-in-B&W works perfectly, but in this case with the beautiful red of your car, it just screamed at me to do it.

Let me know if you'd like me to take it down...

This was at the top (Lancaster end) of Angeles Forest Highway. It was actually closed at this point too, but we got their from the West, via Aliso Cyn Road from Acton.

Actually, please leave it up! I was thinking of doing the same thing myself, and I'm glad you did the work for me!

Runs even better! It has a balanced and overbored B20 with steel timing gears, "D" cam, K&N's on SU's, hardened exhaust valves and seats, dual-outlet exhaust manifold, etc etc

sounds good! any suspension upgrades? your trip reminds me of a trip i took through the ozarks in arkansas a few years back, when my 67 had its original engine: hills, turns, lots of high r/m running, turning leaves (it was fall). it was a blast.

what's the story on the air damn? i just picked one up that looks exactly the same from a salvage yard. i couldn't find any markings/stickers on it to give me an idea where it came from or who made it.

have fun,

Suspension is pretty much stock with Ipd sways (28mm, 19mm). I'd like to attend to the front bushings, sooner or later, and I have some fresh Boge gas shocks to put in the rear (need something for the front too). Has a 14.5" Grant steering wheel also, which, while not really a suspension upgrade, certainly improves the cornering experience.

The air dam on my car is a pretty recent one from ipd, but they've been making them since the 70's (still using the same molds).

Selection tool in Photoshop. I outline the car, invert the selection, then Image > Adjustments > Black and White.

To each their own, but the wheels make or break a car. They look fantastic on there. Some Ds would have fit the bill also but the polished wheels fit well with the chrome etc.
