View Full Version : Show me your 17" wheels

dave milliron

I am looking for some 17" wheels for my '79 262 Bertone. Looking for 8" for the front and 9's or 10's in the rear. And yes I will be widening the rear wheel wells. The ones I like are the VOXX MGs but they are limited to 8" width.

What are you running? Post some pictures.

I made them white because silver is "standard" on every Volvo. :P Haven't seen many white ones. :) They should be an inch wider too....

If the suspension wasnt so soft and the tire didnt hit the fender, I'd so rock those. I guess that means it just needs to be stiffer.

So where can I find some of those Team Dynamics? Those are probably in my top 3 favorite wheels, and I have seen a few cars with them on this board... I want in... What gives?

www.rimstock.co.uk

they have a us website, but it doesnt work really. try emailing the british site and getting the us contact info. fwiw, none of the team dynamics shown on this page are made anymore, although they did a slight update to mine and they are now called the MonzaR, with flat center caps

got mine used off the board, pretty lucked out, though I wish they were 8" wide than that I would be happier than a tbricker in a turbo shop.

Simmons F9R's (I think that's the right code) in 17x7 front & rear.
I'd have them an inch wider front & 2" wider at the rear, with appropriate offset changes, if it was going to be worth all the engineering/roadworthy hassles.

Sport Edition D3, cheap as hell wheels from Tire Rack ($80 each in 17X7, or something), I got the set practically brand new on eBay for $320 shipped. 17X7, fwd offset w/25/32mm adapters, cheesy sport edition center caps dremelled half to death, then glued to dremelled to death Volvo center caps.

I'm half pondering the upcoming RWD peggies, but I almost thing a slightly curved wheel looks better on a 240. At least a fairly stock 240, you need a pretty edgy looking car for the Peggies to look right IMO.
