Just been messing about on sketchup, I dont have any CAD software and I feel that the user-friendlyness of sketchup suits me.
You can change the units of measure to inches or millimetres for smaller scale things.

Just made this, check it out! It's not to scale but gives me a better idea of what I am trying to achieve.
Theres lots of other crap in there people have done including quite a few Volvos!

I play with AutoCAD all day. I'm not gonna put that on my work computer though. I don't have windows at home either though :-(

never heard of it.....some cool renderings out there....
just downloaded it, I'll have to play with it later on....
I'm a Pro/E user myself, at work and at home but I don't use it too much at home..

It's pretty funky, I believe that there is a physics program that allows for moving parts.

autocad FTW.
took a class on it in high school and i thought it was useless crap, but now i use it all the time and i love it

For real, I used it in a drafting class in high school and loved it (autoCAD). Its awesome, Im gonna download it right now(sketchup).
