A deer fell...off an embankment. Actually, leapt off...landed right on the front of the car, bounced up over the car and bowed the trunk in, taking off the rear antenna in the proccess.

That was three weeks after my dad fixed it after he backed his Xterra into it.

I was at my wits' end with the thing at that point, and unloaded it for $200 to Parry. I promptly bought a 945 from Philip Bradley, but in 2006 I decided to be a tard and drive too fast on a road I wasn't terribly familiar with and smashed that car too.

I'm trying not to smash the Caprice; it's worked thus far. Someone else will probably do the honors this time, there are enough idiot drivers in Florence for the whole southeast region.

That was pre lowering actually, it's now lower and shinyer, handles better then a 740 on bilsteins too, not sure about 4k worth of suspension though, that's 4 times what I spent :p

After shot is below - and car still isn't finished. Needs hooking up of things to make it driveable, some front clip parts, and a repaint of the hood, before it'll be done visually and mostly done mechanically. Project started out as an '82 242T that I got for $250 in January 2000. That was wrecked at the end of November 2002. The black car (another '82 242T) was purchased in December 2002, and received the B23FT that the silver car was supposed to receive. Drove that car until August 2006, after being rearended twice and having one person cut out in front of me and my rear-ending them @ 15 mph - surprisingly, no damage to either vehicle, then having a late-model 5-serie BMW owner back into my car's front bumper, causing damage to their car, but nothing to mine. Had an '81 242T that was to be the donor body, but discovered too much rust for my liking, so gave up on that project. Got rid of that project, then, last year, finally had the '82 body hauled off. That same day, the silver '85 245 came home and became the "great-grandson" car in a project series that began with a ratty beige '81 242DL with roof dents. The silver 245 now contains most of the guts of the old black '82 242T, along with some parts from the black '81 242T aborted project, among other cars... Damage on this car was created by the PO, but has mostly been fixed.

chrome wheels are the ugliest thing ever, and 16x6.5>15x6.

Volvo even referenced the 242 as a coupe. 244(4doors) are considered sedans.

The link you posted proves me right:

In the popular vernacular, a two-door sedan is defined by appearance and not by volume; vehicles with a B-pillar between the front and rear windows are generally called two-door sedans, while hardtops (without the pillar, and often incorporating a sloping backlight) are called coupés.

Also, the first paragraph in that same section (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sedan#Two-door_sedan) says that a two door sedan is defined as having 33cu.ft. or more of rear passenger accomodation. A 240 has this.

Thus, it's not a coupe.
