is the cam sensor any of the above ?
oh , for a whiteblock !
Easy enough to check- crank the engine and see if the sensor has an A/C output. I would expect to see above 0.5V.
In fact it's even easier than that. Got three wires? Most likely Hall effect- 5v signal, power and earth.
Two wires? Most likely inductive pick up- check as described in my last post.

dont have a running car to check it against - in fact i havent looked at a cam sensor for ages !!

Whiteblocks have a hall sensor on the cam and a vr on the crank.

Pin out:
1 - Ground
2 - Signal
3 - +12v
The signal pin goes low (pulls to ground) when it sees a tooth.
