I am looking at my coolant sensor trying to figure out how to run the info back to the MS box and also to the gauge. If I try to run it to both will it "split" the signal and only send half the signal strength to the MS?

thanks

I don't know this for sure but I'm fairly certain that you can't split it like that. You'll need a second sensor for the MS.

See if you can pick up a d-jet temp sensor if you head will support it. It runs like a champ and MS deals with it quite nicely. Trying to piggyback off the same sensor may throw things off, but it's kinda hard to know without trying. It IS only a variable resistor, MS is a transistorized load, so it may not draw things down enough to worry about.

2 different sensors. The one on the back of the head goes to the gauge (or light). The one on the front of the head, the original DJet sensor, goes to MS. The resistance of the Bosch DJet watter temp sensor is pretty close to the GM sensor that is the default sensor in MS. I use the Bosh sensor with out compensation. If you are using a K Jet head drill and add a watter temp sensor.

How about using one of those saab fan sensor T's that go in the radiator hose?
