I've been eyeing up the rear of my 245, and it really bugs me how far in the rear wheels sit. Just wondering if anyone has spaced out stock Volvo wheels (RWD) in the back, or front, or both. Also, if I do end up with a set, am I going to need longer studs? I was thinking about just a 5mm spacer in the rear. Thanks alot!

r-sport sold a special spacer for the rears to make it look better, i forget what size it was though...

You could run 1" wheel adapters (or spacers w/longer studs) on the back with stock 185 tires on 14x5.5 ET20 stock 240 wheels.

I had stock wheels (10 spoke 740t wheels) on my '89 with a 32mm spacer. Light rubbing with original fender profile, no rubbing when fully rolled. I then had the same spacers with my 17x8 Voxx MGs and had rubbing when the car was loaded for a trip. I traded the 32's for 25's, and have no rubbing currently, time for wider tires.

et-9 on my corolla  but i am also interested, what about the turbo wheels and tires? i would imagine it would be less than an inch, but adapters are expensive just to get the wheels out right, right?

Volvo have an oem spacer set which is ideal if you're using RWD offset wheels to push the rears out a little.

They're 20mm thick and come with longer studs.
Volvo oem part number: 8360083

I previously had a set on my 240.

I ran stock 240 steelies/snow tires on my GT without taking off the 28mm front and 42mm rear spacers. I've got prints somewhere.... No scanned pics though. :)

Since my fenders are pulled, I could fit a 25mm, another 25mm, AND a 32mm spacer on a stock 14" wheel. ET -62. That's about 3/4" back spacing.

I ran 50mm of spacer on my eikers making them ET -30 muhahahah :oogle:

i was hoping pushing them out with give them the apperance that they are wider, but it was an epic fail... they still look like doodoo

Here's a pic. I tried a test fit on my Scorpius wheels (ET15) with 25mm spacers in the rear.

I ran my 42mm spacers on the rear of my wagon for a month or so with stock steelies. I loved how much the rear wheels came out.

You mean they have 6Jx15x20 on them, just like other volvo wheels have 6.5Jx16 and 7Jx17?

Show me a Virgo that has 15x7 stamped on it and I'll show you a fake Virgo that doesn't exist in that size (fake Virgos were 15x6 or 14x6 only).
