That WRX had high performance tires on it...I think that explains it.

What tires were you using? Seems like you should have been quicker unless they're all-seasons.

The way his Azenis were rounded off on the shoulders, I KNOW he's had that thing on tarmac a few times.

I guess the welded diff finally let go? (mentioned in the other topic)

the diff did let go. i will be welding it solid this weekend..i think falken should sponsor my car...those tires take some serious abuse. hey tryck, how about a bigger race next year at mount snow?? the crowd seemed to enjoy it, and i really need some room to "stretch my legs"

I have seen Jason on tarmac, there is much tire smoke. I think that wrx did have all seasons at least, He had a sticker on his back window that said "Trunkmonkey racing" :e-shrug:
Cullen had Gislaved snows all around,Jason had Graspics all around, John had blizzacs all around, and I have Signet snow biter on the back and sumitomo all season up front.
I had my head off last night and the gasket had major failure, The 160 head was in fine shape and the pistons and bores are no worse for the wear. even after two years of experimentation on this eng and lots of ping ping there isn't so much as a mark on the pistons or the head. I took the opportunity to regasket some stuff on the block and the head is already on and torqued. Today, the manifolds and such. It lives. All hail the B21ft! :-P

yeah that was a tight little course... first gear sucks on dirt especially when the turbo slams in. I have no idea where the meet will be this year. you definitely had the crowd cheering

Lousy-ass (read: open) diff, lousy ass car in snow (read: 740 sedan), no weight in the trunk, and it was my first time. My time did drop by 17 seconds by the end of the day if you didn't notice.
