Long time no posting, finally after like 4 years on TB it looks like im going to have a volvo, i got distracted by some bmw thing but now that it has a blow head gasket, its volvo time.
anyway on to the point, there is an autoX in eugene, sunday march 2nd, i know a few TBers are going. i was just wondering if there are any others i dont know. assuming my car is running by then i will be in the beige interior-less 242 DL with a black hood.
for those in the area that dont know, the autoX is in the alley river center parking lot and its through emerald empire sports car club (http://www.eescc.org/).

Valley River Center parking lot in the back behind everthing is where I used to auto-x when I was in the eescc. We also used the Coca cola parking lot and the Lane Community College lot. I might be able to make an event hopefully this year.

Isn't Roy (toomanyturbos) an auto-X freak? I think he's pretty heavily involved in the scene.

Yes it is fun. When I first did it, I ran my 1964 dodge dart GT convertible. It didn't do so good. Really more of a plow. I never did the mods to the front to make it handle better. Then I used my 72 gran torino sport. That was more fun. Once I ran my 81 mercury capri with a 70 351C HO motor in it. It was at LCC and I burned one tire the entire time. This was back in the early 90's I think.

I hope to be there. I don't have any idea what I'll be driving. Hopefully, I can get the brakes working on my Thunderbird Turbo Coupe and take that. If not, perhaps the Bertone.
Im not going to the ice breaker this year, but maybe the test and tune and probably the first two events. Have fun!

FYI, Test and Tune is a member only event and has a pre-registration requirement. Make sure you take note of that. Don't just show up expecting to participate.
