Sounds like the 130k squirter motor I picked up (crosshatching all the way up), that's sitting in the garage. Waiting for MS cash to get bored over, decked, then built with JVAB goodies. Hooray for PnP deals!

im just gona leave the stock internals in it or atleast for now unless money really starts flowing in. this engine is plenty strong since they all have 13mm rods

03-26-2008, 12:38 PM
so it was a regina motor? or was it a turbo motor that for unknown reasons had a block-dizzy?
2fast242gt
03-26-2008, 12:40 PM
it wasnt a turbo engine, just a n/a engine with a block mount dizzy for some reason... weird. but awsome

My 220k squirter was smooth as a baby's bottom. :-(
But, thanks to dingleberry technology, it has beautiful hatching up to the top once again!
Yours looks awesome!!

What's happening to the B21 block? :oogle:
2fast242gt
03-26-2008, 06:43 PM
not sure what to do with the b21. its so trusty, and the flattop pistons are awsome. but sthe b230 is a little biger for more power. also has less miles. i may just push the b21 to its very limits this sumer, if somthing happens well to bad. if not, its still coming out. unless somone wants a b21 with flattops?
Delfosse
03-26-2008, 07:00 PM
ill take the b21 if the price is right... i store it in the same garage the 242dl was in until i can come up and get it! this is if you do decide to sell it..

forged rods are junk? and so are flattops? so what exactly is junk about it? its basicaly the same as a b230 but slightky smaller pistons. there is a 1000 hp carbonfiber volvo powered by a b21, it was that p544 or what ever. i love my b21.

some motors came that way....you can install them in a motor, about 45 minutes or so...read the sticky on the performance forum about squirters...good to have on all turbo motors, not as big of deal on a lowish HP NA motor, but I'd rather have them then not if given the option....
my NA motor will get them when I rebuild it...
nice score on the motor...I wouldn't take the negative vibes on the B21 too serious, he must have been beaten by a B21 once and he is still haunted by it :) :-P

how it made its 1000 mile journey from MD to WI
http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j220/tiebird256/engines006.jpg
its from a 1994 black 940n/a
had regina with the block mount dizzy
85k ish on the clock
took me 3 hours to pull and i was missing a couple tools that would have made it easy
(if i had my cordless impact it would have been closer to 2 hours to pull)

he says its going in his 940 and going to be twin turblow. will it happen? only time will tell...

News flash, all redblock rods are forged. Also, they aren't running the stock rods and pistons. I don't consider it a B21 if the only remaining B21 part on it is the block. I believe he was talking about the 2.1L displacement and 8v head and 7.suck:1 compression.

T6 block
needs a new sleeve on cyl 4 (out of 6)
getting a ported 960 head, big 960 NA cams, twin 15g turbo's on a custom manifold

Well i knew that some 94+ had squirter's ... i assummed he didnt have them and he installed them... not much to be excited about if you got a block that already had them.... guess he did... my bad

which block will make more comp? the B21 cause it has flattops.
You may find the motor with more comp will make more HP in NA form.

its a trade off, the b21 has SLIGHTLY higher compression due to the pistons. the b230 has SLIGHTLY more displacment due to the pistons lol. i could get a set of custom pistons for the b230 to make it a real winner. we will see what money alows in the near future

*cough* 16 valve *cough*
just get a set of stock b234f pistons and the 16v head ($400 total) and run it with the carbs
i would bet you could easily see 200whp from it with a good tune some minor head work and 7000rpm
only thing will be making your own ex manifold, but with little mikes welder it would be easy
