Volvos at The Gilmore - Michigan

This is a meet for the Great Lakes VCOA chapter.

I'm looking into getting us possible member prices, but don't count on it.

From what I know, they're expecting a large turnout, I'll have more information and definate numbers soon.

**UPDATE**

Ok, so they had about a 70 car turnout at their last Gilmore meet (2006) and are expecting at least 110 so far this year.

Registration is 25 dollars for car/driver, and 15 dollars for each additional passenger.

Registration includes:
Admission, normally it's 9 dollars per person
A dash plaque for everyone in attendance
An event T-shirt
A Lanyard/ID for the event
There will be show competition, with prizes, we're not sure what yet
There'll be a large tent with food available (food is not included however)
Goodie bags for everyone
Most likely there will be door prizes. IPD is in on this, a few dealerships, and several local shops - gift certificates, merchandise

They're still looking for more sponsors for the event! If you know anyone interested let me know!

Tim Cox lives 1 mile away from me...i met him on the way home one day. I saw his green p1800 and i did a Uturn and folllowed him til he pulled over...it was a good time. anyways, i think ill be at that thing in august...hopefully with a 16v turbo...

K, for sure going to have 2 cars there. How does one get the TB membership pricing if your signing up on the VCOA website?

Just go to the site, click the button to register.

If it's two cars, you need two of the $25 dollar member + car registratoins.

Any others that'll be riding along and want the t-shirts, door prizes and goodies needs the $15 dollar registration as well.

After the paypal is sent, they'll e-mail you back for the rest of the information needed.

right off the 28th street exit form I-96.

The SHOW tomorrow: the show technically runs from 9am to 4pm, and we're going to a restaurant a few miles away for dinner afterwards.

The cars will be seperated by decades.

I didn't get much for wheelspin on the track! Ive gotten plenty of practice in.

I look at it this way. . . even if they transposed numbers,I was still almost 8 secnds faster than the V70R that claimed 380 horse and blew a hose on his first run.
