Not only will it dent, but it will suck in all the nice pieces of your engine and spit them out in many little pieces. All your hard work will be lost and I will be free to claim that I now have the sexiest B230 on TB.
Can you move the motor by hand enough to make it hit?

almost:e-shrug: I'd say I can get it 2/3s over.

1. get the solid mounts from FCP, they really reduce the amount of engine movement....
2. 850 style poly engine mount on the top of the head, connected to whatever strut tower brace you plan to run

+1 , also a 3rd mount definitely increases sexiness

Definitely use a third engine mount. Get it as high up as possible. The engine's torque will move it a lot farther than you are moving it by hand. Don't be afraid to clearance those areas yourself. Use a sledge against a wooden bat or something more sophisticated to buy yourself another 1/2" all the way around.

yeah its gonna hit.
you can try a packer under the mount on that side too to buy u a bit more space.

notch it... do it and be done.

Rotate the compressor housing and bang in or remove that raised area on the strut tower(or if you want more clearance cut the waste gate arm off since you're running an external anyways.

Fab up some steel motor mounts. No movement. That's what I have in my race car.

probably the best idea... or chain the block down so it can't torque to the side under load, like all the big block guys do.

And/or convert to puck style mounts and get poly urethane ones.

still more movement than the solid late style mounts
the big mounts sit outboud a ways and are under compression rather than shearing force and are far stronger for it

If you make solid mounts, make me a set?

Just cut a hole in the car. My GT-35 kinda sticks through the strut tower on my 244.

why not just add a big 3rd mount from the strut to the head and that should stop that little bit of extra movement?

remove the wastegate flapper arm for one, and use a third mount.

get some of those poly rsi mounts. the stiff ones, or at least the middle stiffness ones.
Stiff mounts ftw.

you should take a peek at my issues of the past. Source some old style motor mount brackets and get the really bitchin poly mounts. my clearance is almost the same possibly less it it hasnt kissed the strut tower yet. the squishy mounts i could rock that bitch into the tower with a pinky
