Well, thanks to uncle sam and such, I've been pressed with the money to start putting a dent into everything I want to do with 'teh Nemesis. So, what should I do first? Come June or so, I'm going to shave all exterior trim, badges (minus the grill) and then paint the b****! Help me out guys, I want to see what you all think.

Whatever you do, spend money on manufactured goods from China.

I voted for rims, it makes the 240 not as lame to look at. What all have you done to your car so far?

All of the above. But seriously, if you've got the time, know how and cash, go for a +T!

I plan on doing it, but I don't have that much money right now, I think I will start collecting parts soon.

Nothing really, rebuilt the top end. I blew the HG and instead of just fixing that and being done with it, my dad and I decided to really kick it up and revive the tired engine. So, nothing too big, but a start. Really the only thing I've done is put in an aftermarket sound system in it, which is getting yet another update soon enough.
Whatever you do, spend money on manufactured goods from China. Well played good sir! I do have to say, that seems to be Uncle's intention with giving us all of this money!

well, I'm not going to strip the tan....I kind of like it. Instead, I'm going to accent the interior with black to try to mix it up and make it more interesting.

I'd go sound/exhaust/tint. Next up on my list is sways/springs/tint/exhaust, haha.

First: Sound
Second: wheels
Third: Suspension (sways, shocks, struts, springs, etc...)
Fourth: +T (this includes camshaft and bigger rods!)
That's the order I'm going in anyway.

I voted for +T, but since this made its way to off-topic:
edit: whoops. Why did I think this was in off-topic? Well, as I said, +T or suspension will be the most entertaining. :-D

Speaking of those things, what are some years/models I can input into various wheel websites to get some results? They don't have jack for a 1991 244, probably the offset. I put in a 2000 V70 and got hella cool results. I of course don't mind running adapters for the offset, but could someone give me a game plan?!

That's what I'm thinking. I think I'm going to get this one guy that has a shop near my parents house to do my exhaust. I'm thinking cat-back, factory bends and just one muffler. Dynomax? Sometihng like that

If youre getting exhaust on your car as is. Expect a sound difference but little in the way of a performance gain.
If you are worried about the price a plus T. Just take it a little at a time. Post want ads here and you find everything you need cheap.

Agreed. Doing a camshaft PLUS an exhaust would be a larger difference, but just an exhaust on an otherwise stock n/a tractor motor is...IMO...a waste of time.
I'd rather have a stock engine/exhaust with shiny rimpzz than to make it louder with barely making it faster.

Well, the primary reason I'm getting the exhaust is b/c the tail pipe is trashed and the rest of the system is on its way. I will definitely think about the cam!

I will do that, I just need someone to tell me what it is I need for everything. I understand the turbine, IC, oil or water cooler, piping and BOV, right?

Im not one of the "SEARCH" nazis. But trust me, I spent days reading the very well written +T directions. Then when I had questions I asked.
Read every thread related to the +T first.
But in the mean time start getting the big parts together. Turbo, exhaust mani, IC and IC pipes/hoses, turbo computers. Then worry about how you want to do the oil lines. You seem to not be in a hurry yet so figure out those things later. Although you will learn about oil lines during your reading. There are a couple of different options there, and thats when I choose to post some questions.
Lets put it this way. Back in the day I had a 85 740 NA. I put in a cam, exhaust, intake, even the rare big bore throttle bodys. I spent a ton! It was more fun than when it was stock. But when I just +Ted my 240 last month, I would have blown the doors off my old 85 when it was in that state! This thing pulls pretty good right now.
Side note, I later dropped a turbo motor in my old 85. It was awesome after that. I wish I hadnt wasted the time and money on those little things first. They are good to have but bang for the buck...TURBO!

that sounds good to me! You're exactly right, I'm not in a hurry. I just brought the top side of the engine back to the way it was coming out of the factory, replaced almost everything, cleaned, polished etc. I figure this car now definitely has at least another 200K on it. I'm also the kind of person that obsesses before actually doing anything, hence the poll and all the talk about such a wide variety of mods.

Yeah good deal. Its not something you need to rush into. From the day I said I was going to do it till the day I finished about about 4 months. might actually have been longer. But either way its not too hard of a job if you read up on it and take your time.
When youre ready feel free to ask me questions.
Others helped me a ton. I need to return the favor to people

i definitely agree with everyone about exhaust being a waste of time as far as performance, but if you need it might as well do a little upgrade :)
i had a big hole behind my cat and everything else was pretty rusty, so i got a boost in gas mileage and performance when i fixed it.

it's 2 am and i've been coding for 14 hours straight... pee in it's butt gave me a good laugh.
wtf is wrong with people.. there are at least 50 postings on various message boards about peeing in butts.
this, however is my favourite.
