Yeah, the plan is to eventually pain the slats black, leaving a chrome slash and surround.

Eggcrates must have some longer tabs on the bottom, since the bottom doesn't 'lock' into the tabs. Whenever I go back to the scrapyard, if they have an eggcrate, I'll pick it up.

If you had an early car and were closer, I'd give you my old stock grill. Already painted like you want and everything. Looks good that way, so get to paintin'!

..or not, lol. Alex (944GLE) managed to get it into the standard tabs, so it fits right. Still not painted though.

Take the center out and paint it black, did tha ton my old 765, and then got the new volvo grill emblem, the one with the nice blue in it and put that in teh center, looked awsome!
