Well, after (only) 155k miles, 24 years, and a recent +T the yellow sub has been retired (for use as a weekend car... if I can stop driving my new one!)

Just picked it up yesterday, only have this Camera phone pic right now... It's a 2008 C30 Version 1 in Passion Red with the 6 speed stick, and absolutely no options. (though its getting the body colored dash trim Friday, and I may add the trunk spoiler and Sirius....)

Yeah, all of them are T5, that turbo 5 cyl. really has some pickup with the 6 speed!

I was looking at a few other cars (lancer, mini, civic, and the like) but after sitting in one of these and driving it... I was sold. The dealer only had it in auto though, they had to drive 140 miles to pick up my stick and bring it back. I'm sure they were thrilled with that, *the* cheapest car Volvo sells and a 300 mile round trip to get it for me. ;-)

I think I've only ever seen ONE other on the road since they came out... anyone here see them often?

One thing thats kinda weird is the tip computer is optional, but apparently all of the hardware is there... I just have to bring it to the dealer and pay them like 100 bucks for a software download...

I've been debating them too. There's quite a few demo V2.0s around here going for a decent price. All of them have been manuals too...

Awesome find!

few more pics....

really? I figured it was adhesive plastic, but I thought they at least make it good looking... :grrr: So I should just forget about it?

very clean, i drove to ATP turbo here in Hayward the other day and they have a C30 with FMIC,DP, and upgraded exhaust ........sounds sooo clean, and its a red one

The right quarter back view reminds me of the P1800 sport wagon.

Did you ever post pics of your 'yellow sub'? You were one of the more intelligent +t noobs in performance & suspension section. The antithesis of Barry240

where did they move? they used to be just a mile or so away from my office in Fremont....

Nice car...something to be said about a new car that "shouldn't" need work for quite some time !!!!!

Wow nice camera phone
it's nice, I like it, good buy :)

I don't personally like C30's, too small and don't like the rear sightlines (petty I know) but good on you!

I did post pic.s of the yellow sub, showroom somewhere. both with and without the slightly mismatched flathood (which might still be coming off...) I'll link a thread soon if I can find them.

The dash kit should be in tomorrow, Ill go check it out and see what it looks like... maybe Ill return it if it looks bad, I really like body color dashes though (it was my favorite non performance mod on the mini)

V1 is the base model, V2 has more upgrades (premium sound system with Sirius and 6cd changer (vs single cd), body color lower moldings, spoiler, 18 inch wheels (vs. 17), slightly differnt suspension I think, more options) Oh, and about 3+k ;-)

Spend the $3200.00 on the ATP turbo manifold and turbo upgrade.

I was looking at those today online...putting one together.
Came out to about 32 grand with everything I wanted on it.
