83 240 NA fuel pump in an 84 turbo non ic?

That's the fuel pump that's in it now. Before upping the boost and installing the intercooler I will be upgrading to walbro 190lph... But for now this will have to do. What kind of downsides?
 
No idea's. How about the flow rate between the two. How is the differnce between mechanical and electronic fuel injection. The car actually runs fine without the rear fuel pump, but it can get the gas out of the tank.
