This is the starting point of my first volvo. Got it for free for my 17th Birthday from my dad. He works at a volvo repair shop and he bought it for $350 after we were in an accident and wrote off our pontiac. It was a temperary car for him.

It's a non turbo and is staying that way because of high mileage and no space or time to have it off the road. just planning to keep it running as long as i can, while keeping it clean.
Only things i have changed on this car is the stock head unit to a pioneer CD player and a Lifetime K&N airfilter.

Just the other day i was replacing a foglamp bulb and ended up taking the front lip off and painting it as it used to be gold and black as somebody tried to paint it before.

Here are some pictures i have of it now.

Oh GOD. I was wondering what my dam would look like painted black. It'd flow differently since your pre90 740 has chrome trim and different color paint but still. Dayum. Wish I had fogs, too.

As in you like it black? I like it, I just used semigloss spraypaint.

I used a satin black paint on mine, so close enough. :) I do think you need to paint your bumper with the same paint as the spoiler. The faded bumper makes the spoiler look "obviously" aftermarket.

I used bumper spray... seems to hold up a bit better. Either way it will chip off eventually. I did the same thing with my front air dam on my gold 245, I think it looks MUCH better.

Yes i am planning on it soon enough. Then it gives me a chance to fix it while it's off so it's not sticking out above the turn signal on the drivers side. You can really notice it in the above pics lol

Updating this, or should i make a project one i dont know

Anyways painted the grill black, but taped it so it has a chrome lip around it. I like more black on the front end so i am doing the headlight trim soon too.

I also have a 305 V8 coming my way from my girlfriends 78 malibu. it will be fun! Just have to swap her 350 in first. I am now looking for a 245 for my new DD so this will be a project car.

The 245 will be flathooded too lol
pics coming soon
