Wanted to replace the rear stock springs with something stiffer and I just happened to have these spare 10" 250in/lb springs sitting on my work bench.

The spring perches/cups are extra camshaft covers :)

1st pic shows car with rear axle at full drop, I had to make the tube a little longer due to the springs being short, next option would be to run shorter springs with tender springs or more adjustment...of course that would cost more money, so this will be fine as is.

Second pic shows new ride height, I am perfectly happy they way it sits, in the rear, it is about 3/4" lower than with the B&G springs

Sweet, I did this to my S12. Way cheaper than coilovers and with the right shocks can be just as nice. Not to mention changing your ride height and stiffness is just 100 bucks and 2 day shipping away.

I mean really all you need is a threaded tube and a color to go on it and you would have an adjustable perch.

that would be awesome.

What shocks are those?

I don't need that kind of adjustablity....even the front adjustable coil-over setup is almost overkill.....it is a street car, I am not going to corner-weight the car every weekend...do it once with small spacers and set-n-forget :)

Koni single adjustables .....

nope....I trimmed the entire fender lip and then smoothed it up by putting a 1.5" diameter steel tube between the tire and the fender and promptly smacking the tube with a 5lb sledge to clean up the lip.

good work.

imo, just corner weight it once to get the #s in the ballpark. with a full tank of gas in autox trim, my 945 was something like 180lbs heavy on the driver's side (makes sense, thats where i was and thats where the gas tank is), but still, adjusting the rear coilovers got it to 50/50 f/r and cross.

pics? i just wana see how clean it looks. im scared to get ride of the whole lip, since that strengthens up the 1/4 a bit. dont lean on the 1/4 now.
