I don't see any R-Sport gauges... The 'marine' gauge is a glycerin filled industrial compound pressure gauge. Guaranteed accuracy to within 2%. Not like the piece of **** automotive boost gauges would usually run. Plus it looks bad-ass. The other VDO gauges are from a Porsche.

WTF are those Porsche gauges? (Speedo/tach.) And since when do the lenses make a cone like that? Never seen that before, I guess it's good for keeping down glare?

They're from a European Porsche 924. I find the glass completely useless in that configuration. I've cut some new glass to replace them, just haven't installed it yet.

I got a pair of those gauges(tach and speedo) from an old porsche at the PnP(I remembered them cuz of the domed glass) but I sold em on ebay a while back.

...As long as they monitor everything that you need to monitor, then I guess thats all that matters. It would bug the crap outta me to have that many different gauges faces though.

What are the other three small gauges next to the speedo?

I think the dash came together very well. I'm definitely for function over form, but all the gauges are VDO, so they match decently well.

The last three gauges are oil temp, oil pressure, and voltage. I'm still missing EGT, coolant temp, fuel level, and exhaust backpressure. The Volvo boost gauge is just a placeholder.

I believe that's a fuel pressure gauge made to look all R-Sport an shiz.

I love those liquid-filled pressure gauges. I'd like to know though, if there's a boost gauge/pressure gauge/whatever with a secondary needle that momentarily stays pegged at the max pressure reached. I'd like that very much. Full boost isn't really the time to be looking at a gauge.

I'm at a loss for what to replace the clock with in the instrument cluster, I don't particularly need a wideband gauge or a boost gauge, but it seems like a vast waste of space. Maybe I'll put trans gauges in there or something.

ya, all that is gone now. I have a vintage air unit that I will get around to installing sometime. I rewired the whole car and wasn't using the stock switches. I wanted to put the radio around there so it would be right in reach with my hand resting on the shifter. worked out pretty nice.

At the moment does not functional neither one. The combined switch is from a 940, which will swap the two old one in the future, when i get to the wiring... I'm too busy with the engine tuning and other privacy problems..:)
Otherwise i lost my two front fogg lamps. You know, the crazed torque is working...:cool:

and yes that's a 960 cupholder armrest, and M90 5 speed and boot, aftermarket leather steering wheel wrap, and a custom made gauge bezel.:-D

I did see a couple in this thread, but does anyone have pictures of 1975-1980 240 gauge setups? I am probably just gonna make a sheet metal panel where the clock and center vents are and put my gauges there.

Are you going to use it as a daily driver? If so, I wouldn't delete the vents. Air movement is underrated. Better off putting a gauge cluster on the dash where the center speaker is.

I've heard they don't fit very well. Plus I think they look pretty ricey. If you're okay with it I'd put a plate where the AC vents are and put guages in there. That looks great.

Move your heater controls to the glovebox, put a blanking plate there, move gauges, thats what I did in the 850

I've been wanting to make a pod that would go in the center of the dash, but I am not sure how to go about it.

People with 740 3 gauge pods, how well do they fit?

Nice, but I think the best is what 15A did. He moved the heater controls to the bottom and put the gauges where the controls were so they're eye level. What you did, but heater controls and gauges switched.

It looks a lot better now with the new seats and carpets, and it has Aspirator's short throw shifter.
