Some of you might have read my thread posing the question whether I should buy an 850 or the S60 T5. Well the deal was sealed on the T5. :) I'm very pleased so far, it's great fun to drive. Got it all cleaned, aligned, Q Synthetic motor oil, K&N filter, and ready to roll. I'm going in town tonight for some night photos.

Nah, I actually like them as is. I would go with gun metal if I did though.

I still have it. I kind of don't want to sell it but I should. It's not is so great condition right now... exhaust leak, ABS fail, oil leak (valve cover gasket).

Hmm, does look like that but no it has never been wrecked.
Thanks guys.

Beautiful!--I really think the S60's have a timeless design: great roofline, short front overhang, broad shoulders, slick wheels, etc... The painted trim on the later models isn't too bad, but it makes the car look like it gained weight, so I actually prefer the black beltline like yours. My wife and I have a silver '01 S60 T5 and really love it. We've always admired the white ones, and would have actually preferred that, especially with the Tethys (which, by the way, you should keep silver--when you paint them darker they will look smaller). We ended up with a silver T5 because it's easier to find with the off-black interior, which was a must-have for us. We just rolled over 100k three weeks ago and have had no significant issues with the car. Anyway, glad you're enjoying the car!
P.S. Make sure you have the latest transmission software updates. If it still drops into neutral at stoplights (neutral-on-stop feature), you should take it in for the updates. It will extend the life of the transmission significantly.

i love it when i hear this garbage. it points to people who don't know what the **** they are talking about. unless ford could've designed the best car volvo has come up with in the past 10 years, in one year alone, they deserve credit.
ford took over in 98-99 iirc. the s60 was on the showroom floor in ~september-november of 00'. no way they could've designed and re-tooled that quick, much less produce at least 20,000 cars
not to mention t5s are as volvo as it gets, with that particular t5 block(b5234)being the block that was used in 94 850 turbos.
edit: the NEW s40s are ford. the c30 is ford. the new s80 is ford. the xc90 is ford. the 3.2L lump of garbage is ford. /end rant

That's just about everything I don't want, except the exhaust.:-P And I'm happy to report I've found nothing that says 'Ford Motor Co.' All 'Volvo Cars of Sweden' so that made me happy. Anway, thanks for the info guys, and good tips Caliwagon.:)
