cam confusion

Currently I have an M cam in my motor. I have a B cam that I am getting ready to install. I was reading the greenbooks and it says that on the M cam, the intake valve is open at 3 degrees ATDC and the B cam it is open 19 degrees BTDC. Does this mean that I need to make adjustments to something or is this part of the difference in the cams?

that is part of the difference in the cams. the only adjustment you should need to make is with valve shims to make sure all valves are in spec

roger, I have a spare head that I am cleaning up and got all the fun crap from IPD to replace seals and blah blah. I was just looking through the green book trying to find out what some of the stuff IPD sent me actually was..... still no idea.:lol:
