ok, the paint on my car is good in general, but you can tell its getting old, the front and rear bumpers are slightly different color cause of the repaints, and the shop ****'d up the front bumper paint, the right rear pannel has been hit (my mom...........) but now you can see the imperfection if you look VERY closely, which I see all the time when I wash it.
I've planned to paint the car in few yrs, but latley I've thought about it alot, what do you think?
it'll be same color code, may be slightly of flip/pearl in it, and new gas door a la bike style while at it.
what you guys think?

Your paint looks pretty good from these pics, but I know that can be decieving. My gray 940 has the worst paint imaginable, so I can reltae to this dilemma. Post some more detailed pics of the imperfections you're talking about... that will give everyone a better idea.

Depends on what your priorities are... For me, Im all about making it look good first and foremost. I am very picky about the how my car looks... scratches, dents, imprefections bug me. I could go on and on about what bugs me on the red car's paint. Altho out of the 3 cars I looked at, it was the cleanest. Once the car looks good, then it could go fast. I hate when money is put into ugly ass cars w/ rust and dents... bugs me... unless ofcourse its going to be straightend and painted as apart of the plans.
But thats just me...

Damn man, it looks great! I would spend the $2k (minimum) on other stuff.
My friend repainted his mintruck and it looks awsome but he can see every little mistake in the paint, to everyone else its mint. I think you just notice it more because you stare at it every time you see the car.

yea, its those small details the drives me crazy, like the small (may be 1/4 of pinky nail) rust spot on the rear wheel well, I went bizzark, but thats me, I love this car.
if I was to get another 740, probally wouldn't care as much.

Best idea yet, scratch up your car and then make an insurance claim that it was vandalized :-D But seriously, the paint is fine on your car, spend it on performance.

I'm getting that poster, and my insurance only covers liability.
