I just wanted to introduce myself. I've been into cars all my life and Euros are my weakness, but I'm trading in my VW's and BMW's for a Volvo here in a couple of months and needed a replacement for VWVortex! Anyway, just wanted to say "hi"

BTW: I'm buying an 83 242 turbo intercooled from a friend of mine. Him and I used to race in HS. It's sitting on full iPD suspension, iPD cam, and a few other parts. It will be fun!

Welcome to the fold. Lots of great ideas and assistance in here. Lots of flaming too if you say stupid things. A pretty elitist crowd if I don't say so myself...

Doug would be "King of the Elitists" however.

LOL! I don't believe you guys are as ruthless as the Tex! I live in Bend, OR, but I'm from Tigard. I still have a 1985 VW Golf 4-dr diesel and I will be buying my friends 242 intercooled turbo the first of June.

I've been on vwvortex for a few years, but don't post/read a lot. Just some of the stuff that's not discussed here, like autocross and local events.

The Mk3 forum used to be great, same with OT and car lounge, but I don't read them much anymore (or not at all, as it happens).

You should come to Tony's house on March 20th for the Volvo work day. I think there's a lot of people going. Come even if you don't have your car yet. We're also meeting to talk about our Volvo club stuff at the same time.
