Have to cancel I've got sick kids. I'll do some wrenching here and there but I can't have folks over and I need to look after them. Thanks

I need help if I'm going to make my goal of getting the car back on the road by the 20th. Would any of you kind pdx folks be willing to help turn a wrench next Saturday? I'm planning on making it a work day starting at around 1pm and going until I can't keep my eyes open or if a miracle happens the car is finished. So any folks willing to come help. I'll buy dinner and sodas. I've got air tools etc. I'll be working on the car this week too so hopefully there will be less to do. Right now I have the following left to do:
Paint and reinstall intercooler mount
Finish turbo oil and drain routing. ( oil drain done - trying to figure out oil routing)
Fab heat shield for a/c and for water & power steering pump.
Heat wrap header and install.
Install turbo - down pipe and connect that up to the exhaust
Install radiator and wire efan.
mount oil cooler and trans cooler
finish accumulator mod ( Finished) and install tranny
relocate battery
remount front bumper lights etc

Thats the basics to get her running again. I'll be putting in a serious effort this week so I'll check things off as I get them done and add to the list if anything else shows up that I forgot. So folks I could really use the help.

Thanks
Renny

Make sure you focus on what NEEDS to be done, first. I may be able to tinker on Saturday.

Finished the accumulator mod and buttoned up the tranny last night but I'm having trouble getting the dipstick tube off> Any hints. I've already tried penetrating oil and heat. It isn't some sort of weird reverse threading? Any input would be appreciated. I'll keep chugging away at it.

Thanks

Thanks, I'm assuming the one it the car will be just as bad. Any tips on what you've done. Is it possible to install the thing without removing that? I'm thinking I may have to buy one of those tubing wrenches as I am going to strip the corners off this bolt if I keep up the way I'm doing it now.

Thanks

swap the pan with the tube still attached. I've skipped putting the starter bolt mounts on to make it easier

Is it safe to put a jack with a pad under the valve body? I'm going to be doing this myself so I need some mechanical help to get the tranny up and into the car? Man would a lift and tranny jack be an awesome thing to have right now.

Thanks

Have to cancel, my kids are sick. It might be pertussis - we've got our fingers cross that it isn't. Antibiotics here we come.

Thanks

Ah crap. I was about to call you. Well, off to the racetrack I have to go now, like literally not! Tis a shame! Tell those kids to get better, and keep us updated on what you have done and have yet to do.
