nice crosshatching eh? barely any lip too. dam these volvo motors are badass

yeah every volvo motor i ever pulled so far in my life has had cross hatching you can feel with your figernails. i have a 80k b230 squirter and a 185k squirter and a 200k b21 with flattops... all of which have awsome crosshatching with no lip.

how many miles on the engine, and how many of those miles were +T? used hard?
im very tempted to do a +T at the same time i fix my clutch and upgrade the suspension, but i can also drop in the B230FT that i have (but its not in the shape i expected). I need some confirmation that +T is the way to go :-P

prob ~40k on the t+ setup. motor had 185k

yeah im just bored while i wait for the garage to be cleared, the 760 needs to be finished. The +T needs to be Autobahn resistant you know :-P

its good to see how the cylinder walls look, the N/A engines have the harder rings (just like the B23ET had that was pretty bore-wear happy).

i'm parting out the f+t and pulling alot of the parts for my 242 turbo project car.

i figured i'd take a look and see what the block looks like for fun.
