Its that time of the year again!
November 20 - 21, 2009
INTO THE NIGHT 2009 presents STELLAR LUMINESCENCE
a 12 - 14 hour Monte Carlo style navigational Road Rally
Start Santa Barbara. Finish Las Vegas.
Entry Fee of $195 per car, includes rally and banquet for 2.
go to Joe's (Carzero) site for more information (http://carzero.freeservers.com/)
start planning now if you want to go. request time off work, save some dough, fix the car...whatever you need to do...
my car had the BEST overall score on the last one :)
amazing views, epic roads, awesome locales, good people, AND VEGAS!!
starts in santa barbara, ends in vegas. banquet dinner/awards ceremony.
i've already put in for the time off, making sure the car is set to go (14 hours of driving).
already have a place reserved (south end of strip, timeshare :D )
and if 195 seems steep for an entry fee, think about the logistics involved in setting up checkpoints and paying for gas/food for the people who volunteer to run the event! last year they didnt really get much i think, hence the raised price.
so, i throw this out to you turbobrick people.
help me represent the volvo community in this thing. there WAS a volvo owner in the last ITN rally i entered (DNF due to alternator failure)
also, i plan on staying in vegas until that following wednesday, leaving that afternoon to be back here in time for thanksgiving.
so, if anyone's in the area and wants to hang out, PM me.
