SoCal - Street Legal Drags @ Fontucky (EvW!)

Hey guys,

Fontana's next Street Legal Drag event is Nov 1-2. I was thinking about going to represent for the Brick community, get a baseline run for my ol' daily driver, and hopefully put something up for the East v West contest!

Anyone else in the area wanna join me? Post up!

Good luck, last time I went out there it was full up by 8AM wayyyyyy before the gates opened. Ive given up on that place, all day for 4 runs? screw that.

I'll just plan to make a day of it, then. There's only two options: Cali Speeday and LACR (if LACR is open again, I'm not sure). But LACR sucks big time, and it's a long drive for a track known for ****ty ET's.

So Cali Speedway is all we've got.

Clutch and maybe the 531 will be installed by then. Might have to take an M46 out of the world on the 2nd.

LOL...I'll bring a video camera to tape the carnage. Let's see how quick you can make teeth inside the M46 disappear!

LACR is no more. And now that they've managed to get the SLDs at fontana down to like, 4 a year, you need to be in line by 6, and you get 3 runs. Yay.

Speedway used to be awsome, the first time I went it was when the track wasnt in a permananet spot. I made 6 runs in 3 hours cause they wernt concerned about going in order so much, it was awsome

Ditto on LACR. Even on Friday nights it was reasonable. Saturday test-n-tunes were amazing. Like the Poi said, you literally didn't have to stop in the pits. You could make a dozen runs in an hour and then call it a day.

Only vw stuff I mess with is the diesel variety that is transplanted into volvos.

Ill have to get someone to follow me when i do a pull although im ready to have it stop doing that.

weather.com says no rain, mild temps. Conditions look pretty good!

I was gonna do the trans flush until I saw how much Royal Purple ATF was...$10.99 a qt! That's over $100 to do the trans myself. Yikes. Can't afford it right now.

Got some radiator stop leak and water wetter...annoying leak at the radiator, but it's brand new and a very small leak so I live with it. Cracked it putting it in. :roll:
