So a little background. I have a MS1 running 029y4. Im using a ford edis sensor/VR board on a 60-1 wheel. fireing DSM coil packs. The car runs freakin awesome except that it loses sync at 4k rpm and shoots big fire balls. It only does this under load and cannot be replicated free revving. I tried replacing and relocating the shielded cable for the crank sensor and it didn't change anything. I wanted to upgrade to MSII so I thought id just try a msII processor to see if that would clear up the issue. It would only sync after I quit cranking on msII. Any thought or suggestions on where to look next on this. Its really dampening the progress of this car going fast.

Dig around on the msextra.com forum. Sync problems are far and away the most common issue without a sure-fire solution. There's a lot of things to try: screwin with the pots, changing capacitors, changing the VR trigger circuit, etc.
