I'm beginning my ms project with an 80 242 GT. I swapped the 21 with a 230ft out of a wrecked 91 740. This might be a stupid question but i just can't decide where to put the GM coolant sensor. It seems to only fit in one spot(which is exhaust side near the back of the block, i don't know what that fitting is for, back there). To me that doesn't seem to be a good spot to put a coolant sensor, since i pulled the fitting out and there was a lot of crap in there. Anyone have any suggestions or just a better place to put the sensor.

Why not use the Bosch sensor that would already be on a '91 B230FT?

It would be the sensor more or less under intake runner #3, with a two wire plug. The single wire temp sensor under #2 is just for the temp gauge.
