Other possible forum categories

First of all, I'd just like to say great job on the new board. Heck, the old board was awesome too, so thanks for all the hard work.

As a previous Maxima owner, I used to frequent the Maxima forum at forums.maxima.org, and I liked some of the categories they added a while back. Since there were so many people taking their Maximas to the strip and putting on superchargers, turbos, etc. they added a few extra forums:

Dyno slip
1/8 mile & 1/4 mile

These forums each have a moderated section so that the title of each thread is the pertinent information (e.g. for Dyno slip - 476.9 hp - 501.0 tq - 1995 SE manual, for 1/4 mile - 12.63 @ 119.37 mph - 2.19 60' - 1995 SE manual). Would there be enough interest on here for such categories?

There are also a few extra categories like Autocrossing, Turbocharged/Supercharged, etc., which I also enjoyed, I just figured starting with horsepower numbers and quarter mile times would be a nice addition so I know how far behind I am.

yeah theres a couple things i plan to do with "sub forums"... but not yet. I want to add a classifieds feedback forum in the for sale area... thread title is their username, thread contains feedback from member who have done businss. (theres also a member rating system that can be used for this as well).


I wanted to make a sub forum that was for "advanced performance" in the performance section, make it viewable by all, but postable by only specific members. We'll see about that one.

If the events forum was busy enough we might sub categorize it for autocrosses and such.. but i dont see that anytime soon.

The website will have the dyno's and times i think... again something down the line once everything else is done and i can work more on integrating the board with the site
