:-(I went to Pic and Pull again today to find the final bits of my turbo swap and I found a few cool 16 valve models and a few other classics, sad to see them out there,

I can recognize the San Antonio pick and pull anywhere. LOL I sure do miss half price weekend. It has been over a year since they had one. The manager was telling me that business has been so good that they have no need for a half price weekend. Last week I picked up four Volvo 240 tachometers. There is also a 740 wagon with lowering springs from FCP Groton, remote oil filter kit, and a pretty new flow master muffler.

Yeah, I have been kinda busy with work. This weekend I am going to paint my 240. I will be using Nason single stage urethane It will be the same color but won't look like such a beater anymore. I'll post some before and after pictures next week. After the holidays I will be on the look out for a 240 wagon, 5-speed. My ultimate goal will be to plus turbo it or swap a B230FT from a 940 turbo. I would also like to swap a T-5 for the M-47.

I hit the Damascus Pick-n-Pull last Sunday here in Oregon, and found two very nice, straight and complete 242's. It is indeed sad to come across cars that have no obvious damage on them. They probably had a blown radiator or a bad alternator and the owners said "screw it", and took the donation write-off.

It would be great if someone could save that 142. Once they're gone, they're gone forever.

I could sure use an EZK ignition for my T conversion. I have an 88 w/ the crappy Chrysler unit...........but have no bone yards around. Let me know if any of the cars in your pick/pull are turbo's /e the EZK ignition. I'd need the electronics and knock sensor. Let me know. Thanks.

all the scrapyards i've ever been to just have cars rammed in really close together or stacked ontop of eachother.

i wish we had places like that here - they may be but i don't know of any!

Not sure if anyone mentioned or knows this already...but pick and pull will sell you a whole car. Yes. even out the rows. The problem with them is the forklifts pick them up and it dents the crap out of the bottom of the cars.

ROFLS.

I thought it was the S.A. pick and pull as well.

Pick-n-pull starts a process that makes the VIN unusable or something like that whenever they put a car out on their parts lots. Once this process is complete, there's pretty much no way they'll let you have the car.

Thankfully, this car is relatively new so the paperwork isn't finished yet. I'll take a camera with me on Friday when I go look at it to make sure there's nothing horribly wrong.

If I end up getting it, it will be getting a pretty extensive overhaul in the next coming years...

There are 2 16v heads at the local junkyard. 1 is in the back of the car (didn't look at the valves). Think i could get them for not that much (despite the fact that this yard is usually way over priced). hmmm
