This is by no means breaking new progress, the bay has been "cleaned up" since mid october and I got the header on early this month.

I did use the ebay ss autochrome wastegate adapter flange as opposed to cutting up the header, aside from having to drill out the bolt holes for the turbo flange it is an outstanding product and I would highly reccomend using it to anyone

Looks awesome!
But you made a mistake - you used the words "SS Autochrome" and "outstanding product" in the same sentence.

I'm glad to see my old header finally ending up somewhere proper.
You've been hanging out w/ too many VW people. In FL, you should be proud of your wiring.

Ya I know, all my friends drive dubs and there is no volvo people, let alone turbobrickers where I live so I have a different set of standards to live up to. I did a decent job the first time but I got bored and wanted a cleaner look so I just re-did it all.

Nah, they should actually stay alot drier there cuz it sealed off for the most part. They used to hang out right where the hood and fender gap was and a ton of water would pour on top of them

I was when I first did it, but it actually works perfectly and fills just fine. Car runs cool as a cucumber

looks great, and the ssautochrome stuff is getting better, i have the made-in-china turbo kit on my v8 760 and it's held up perfectly.
whether a complete shave or not, it still looks damned clean! great work!

I must say...your engine looks great! I like the Virgos on the 242 better than the Pegs, If you could get your hands on some older BBS RS's you'd be in business!
I started shaving my bay as well last summer but than I decided to get back on the House projects. I decided to run all those relays under the dash...(PITA)

Thanks Matt. Ya its scary how far that stuff has come. Seems as if
they are finally learning from errors and complaints.

Thanks! very cool that you are shaving yours, you can make an N/A bay look soooo much cleaner, good luck. Yes I also like the virgos better, im just getting so tired of the pegs because they are getting played and IPD makes RWD replicas now. I couldn't agree more about the RS's, you have no idea how hard im trying to get some, everyone says RS's would make my car and its true. I offered a guy 1300 for a set and he wouldnt come off of them, so maybe i'll just sell the pegs in order to pay for them and just rock the virgos for now.

Thanks everyone, I havent had the hood on since I before I put the header on, (honestly, I think I like it better without one) but after putting a straight edge from fender to fender it looks as if I might just have to notch a tiny bit out of the hoods frame at most, this obviously wouldnt even be an issue with a smaller turbo. Id much rather cut up some random dime a dozen 240 hood than a custom built proturbo header. Plus it looks hella cooler sitting up even higher like that.:-D
